Passing standard
A general average of 75.00, with no part below 50.00. A single part under the floor fails you even when your average clears the mark, which is exactly why the reviewer tracks your weak areas.You need a general average of at least 75% with no grade below 50% in any of the six subjects (RA 5527, as amended, and the Board of Medical Technology rules). A grade below 50% in a subject is a conditional or failing result.
Who can take it
Graduates of a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science (BSMT/BSMLS) program from a CHED-recognized school who have completed the required internship and meet the PRC eligibility requirements.
Format
100% multiple choice across six subjects, given over two days. The four major subjects (Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Blood Banking and Serology) carry a 20% weight each; Clinical Microscopy and Histopathologic Techniques with MT Laws and Management carry 10% each.
