Passing standard
A general average of 80.00The CSC gives one overall rating. You pass at 80.00% and there are no per-subject minimums, but weak areas still drag your total down, so none can be ignored.
Who can take it
Any Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, of good moral character. You do NOT need a college degree to take it, but Professional eligibility is required for most technical and supervisory government posts.
Format
Pen-and-paper (CSE-PPT), 100% multiple choice, ~170 items in 3 hours and 10 minutes. Given nationwide twice a year (typically March and August).
