Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

ExamJuan is operated by ExamJuan Review Center, a DTI/BIR-registered sole proprietorship owned by Perrin Earl Balageo. This page explains how we handle your information (the Privacy Policy) and the rules for using ExamJuan at examjuan.com (the Terms of Service). Part 1: Privacy Policy

Who we are

ExamJuan is operated by ExamJuan Review Center, a DTI/BIR-registered sole proprietorship owned by Perrin Earl Balageo (the “operator”, “we”, “us”). We are the party responsible for your personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Information we collect

• Account information: the name and email you provide when you register, or that Google shares if you sign in with Google.
• Authentication data: if you register with a password, it is stored only as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text. With Google sign-in, we never receive your Google password.
• Learning data: which lessons you mark complete, your quiz and mock-exam scores and attempts, and your overall progress.
• Purchase and access records: which reviewers you have bought and the access entitlements linked to your account.
• Technical and usage data: standard server logs and aggregated analytics events via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and give you access to the reviewers you own.
• To save and sync your study progress across devices.
• To process and record purchases and grant the corresponding access.
• To respond to your messages, corrections, and support requests.
• To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, and to keep it secure.

Cookies and similar technologies

ExamJuan uses cookies and similar browser storage (such as localStorage) in three groups. On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or customize your choice, and you can change it anytime using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

• Necessary (always on): needed to run the site — signing in, keeping your session, checkout and payment security, account access, and saving your course progress. These cannot be switched off and are never used for advertising. Disabling necessary cookies or browser storage in your browser settings may break login, payment, or access to the reviewers you own.
• Analytics (optional): Google Analytics loaded through Google Tag Manager, used only to understand how the site is used in aggregate so we can improve it. Loaded only after you accept Analytics.
• Marketing (optional): advertising and measurement tools — currently the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager — used to measure our ads and reach people who may benefit from our reviewers. Other ad pixels (for example TikTok) may be added later under this same category. Loaded only after you accept Marketing.

If you reject non-essential cookies, we do not load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or the Meta Pixel at all. We do not sell your personal data.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers who process data only to provide their service to us:

• Google: for “Sign in with Google”, and (with Analytics consent) Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Meta (Facebook): the Meta Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager only after you give Marketing consent, to measure our advertising.
• Payment providers: to process payments securely. We do not collect or store your full card or bank details.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: to run the website and store the database.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers above, or when legally required, or to protect our rights and users' safety.

Data retention and security

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Passwords are hashed, access is restricted, and we apply reasonable safeguards. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Under RA 10173 you may access, correct, or request deletion of your data, object to or withdraw consent to processing, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise any of these, email info@examjuan.com.

Children

ExamJuan is intended for adults preparing for professional and licensure examinations. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; when we do, we change the “last updated” date above.

Part 2: Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing or using ExamJuan, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy above. These terms form an agreement between you and ExamJuan Review Center.

What the service is

ExamJuan provides digital study aids (study lessons, original practice questions, and timed mock exams) for Philippine board and licensure examinations. It is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the PRC, the Civil Service Commission, the Supreme Court, NAPOLCOM, or any Professional Regulatory Board. Every question is original and written to each board's published coverage. No reviewer can promise or guarantee a passing result.

Your account

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and be responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Purchases, access, and license

Each reviewer is a one-time purchase, priced in Philippine pesos, granting personal, non-transferable, lifetime access on your account for as long as the service operates, including future updates. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content solely for your own examination preparation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• share, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the content or your account access;
• copy, reproduce, republish, or post the lessons or questions anywhere else;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated means to extract the content;
• attempt to bypass the paywall, or interfere with or disrupt the site or its security.

Intellectual property

All content on ExamJuan, including lessons, practice questions, explanations, design, and the ExamJuan name and logo, is owned by or licensed to the operator and protected by Philippine and international intellectual property laws. All rights reserved.

Refunds

Because every course page includes a free sample lesson and quiz, and access is delivered immediately and digitally, purchases are generally non-refundable. If you were charged in error, charged more than once, or cannot access a reviewer you paid for, email info@examjuan.com and we will make it right.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. While we fact-check answer keys and explanations, we do not warrant that the content is free of every error, nor that using it will result in passing any examination.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to a reviewer will not exceed the amount you paid for that reviewer.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may add, update, or discontinue reviewers and features, and we may revise these terms. When we revise them, we will update the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
